Lip filler is one of the topics patients ask about most within medical aesthetic treatments. I should say first that our goal here should always be to achieve a natural look while preserving the person's own lip shape.
I use hyaluronic acid fillers for lip augmentation. I aim to slightly define the patient's lip contour, correct any asymmetry, and add volume to the lips in proportions that suit the face.
How does the procedure work?
We apply an anaesthetic cream to the lips before the procedure. Lip filler is a procedure that is completed in 20–30 minutes in total. Afterwards, swelling and, rarely, bruising can develop for 1–2 days.
After treatment, we ask patients to avoid alcoholic and hot drinks, and to avoid using cosmetic products such as lipstick.
