Cherry Angioma

Commonly known as ‘cherry moles’, cherry angiomas are actually benign, vessel-based tumours. They generally develop with advancing age and tend to increase in number over time. Treatment isn't essential, but they can be treated for cosmetic reasons or because they've become irritated through trauma (scratching or rubbing). Depending on the location, frequency and size of the lesion, electrocautery, cryotherapy, surgical methods and lasers can be used.
